Cancer, life

Whitesnake… Really?

I’ve known I’ve needed to reboot my blog for some time now, so just a second ago, as I brought up the template, Whitesnake starts singing in my head:

“… Here I go again on my own
Goin’ down the only road I’ve ever known
Like a drifter I was born to walk alone
An’ I’ve made up my mind, I ain’t wasting no more time..”

Really, why? I never had their album, let alone a t-shirt and I don’t even know all the lyrics to that song. Ok and to be completely transparent, I had to use Google just to find out that Whitesnake sang the song.

It’s just how my mind works. Most of the time my thoughts are powered by meaningless, yet hilarious jokes, play on words that no one else would ever get with the exception of my brother, Areon. He and I tend to run on that mind train leading to nowhere but hilarious, side-splitting funny that leave our spouses shaking their heads.

Anyway, this is it. The relaunching of what was The Coleman Chronicles. I started blogging back in 2008. At that time, we’d just adopted our three girls and I started a weightloss journey that led to me losing 75lbs. As the kids grew, life became busier and busier and I stopped blogging. In 2014, I was diagnosed with an incurable cancer and blogged my journey through a page on Facebook.

Like Whitesnake said it so perfectly, “here I go again.” This is where I’ll post updates to the cancer journey, life with 5 teenagers, transparency of grief, marriage and I’ll be posting my photography on this page. In fact, I’ll be sharing more on this blog than on Facebook.

So, I hope you will jump on board and follow my blog. Feel free to comment and share with anyone else you think would be blessed, encouraged or just needs to laugh.

Life, Love & Cancer Ribbons,

Amy
