Time feels like it’s flying by and it’s hard to think that in a about 4 weeks I will be heading back to Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN for the T-Cell Transplant! This time, my brother, Areon, will be taking Family Medical Leave to be with me for the 5-8 weeks of stay and accompanying me back home to get me settled. This trip will be a much more physically difficult. The transplant is a very serious procedure and I’ve been told I will be very sick for the first couple of weeks.
One thing for sure, the highlight of each day was the time I took to open cards sent from family and friends! I ended up having 2 or more cards to open each day and I placed them on the hotel room desk and taped them to my bedroom wall!! YOU HAVE NO IDEA how much that meant to me to have encouragement, scripture reminders, pictures and letters!! With that being said, I’m again asking that my family’s and close friends do a card campaign.

I will keep the unopened cards until I get to Mayo and then open them one or two at a time each day, depending on how many cards I receive.
