Day 2: Settling In

Areon & I arrived safely in Rochester yesterday and after unpacking and allowing me to rest, we grabbed dinner across the street at a local favorite called Chester’s.

My first appointment is tomorrow, so Areon took a walk to see what route would be best. It looks like we’ve arrived at a time where the weather is in the mid to upper 70°s and there is very little rain in the forecast, so that’s a plus.

There’s been an update to when the transplant will occur. Due to the loss of T-cells in the engineering process, my schedule for transplant is being delayed due to Mayo getting approval from the FDA. So stay tuned for the rescheduled date that I probably won’t have until next week. In a nutshell this means that we will be in Rochester longer than originally planned. While this is frustrating, I’m trusting that God’s timing perfect and nothing is a surprise to Him.

Thank you so much for the over 160+ cards I have received to date with more on the way! I can not tell you what the outpouring of love, prayers and encouragement means to me!! Finally, please know that either me or Areon (on days that I cannot) will be updating this blog 2-3 times a week, so don’t worry if there’s a day with no post. 🥰

Love, Life and Cancer Ribbons, Amy
